Hemagglutination
Hemagglutination is the clumping (agglutination) together of erythrocytes (red blood cells), which occurs when viral surface spikes called hemagglutinins bind to receptors on erythrocyte membranes. In a microtiter plate, this clumping is visualized as redness spread throughout the well.
