Human T lymphotropic virus type-1 (HTLV-1)
Human T lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) is a single-stranded RNA virus that can cause adult T-cell leukemia. It can be transmitted through blood transfusion, sexual contact, and childbirth. Only a minority of infected individuals develop symptoms.
