Tetanus
Tetanus is a disease caused by Clostridium tetani infection. The bacterium produces a neurotoxin that enters neurons and travels to the central nervous system, where it blocks the inhibition of nerve impulses involved in muscle contractions, resulting in life-threatening spastic paralysis.
