Biological Transmission Example

An infected animal capable of pathogenic transmission from one host to another. Arthropod examples: Mosquitos (transmit malaria) and lice (transmit typhus). Non-arthropod examples: Mammals (rabies) and chickens (avian influenza)

Biological transmission is a form of vector transmission that occurs when a pathogen is carried inside the body of an animal vector, such as an arthropod, and is transmitted to a new host, typically through biting.
