Interdisciplinary knowledge and communication barriers in COVID-19 research
COVID-19 researchers may struggle to interpret knowledge from other disciplines because each field uses specialized terminology and assumes different background context. Effective interdisciplinary research therefore requires ways to discover, understand, and communicate findings across fields so researchers can develop a more holistic understanding of the pathogen.
