Boldt (1986) Study of GRE Validity Generalization Across Departments
Boldt (1986) examined GRE validity across graduate-school disciplines using three groups: all test takers, graduate-school applicants, and admitted students. The study reported no validity differences attributable to discipline and characterized GRE validity as context-specific and highly susceptible to sampling variation.
