Green non-sulfur bacteria, Chloroflexus
The genus Chloroflexus is a green nonsulfur bacterium that performs anoxygenic photosynthesis and stores bacteriochlorophyll in chlorosomes. It appears orange in the dark and green in sunlight, can survive in the dark using oxygen if available, lacks flagella but moves by gliding, and is capable of thermophilic growth at temperatures between °C and °C.
