Helminths in Microbiology

Although multicellular parasitic worms (helminths) are not technically microorganisms, they are studied in microbiology because their identification and diagnosis rely on observing microscopic eggs or adult worms. Furthermore, they are important parasites of both humans and domestic animals, even in developed countries.
