Reverse Transcriptase (Viral Enzyme)
Reverse transcriptase is a viral enzyme carried within the capsid of retroviruses, such as HIV, that synthesizes a complementary single-stranded DNA (cDNA) copy using the viral positive single-stranded RNA (+ssRNA) genome as a template.
