Text and Translation
| Heedlessness is from the body; when the body became soul, it beholds the secrets without any evil. | |
| When the earth is removed from the atmosphere of heaven, there is neither night nor shadow nor fear. | |
| Wherever there is shadow, night, or a shady place, it is from the earth, not from the spheres and the moon. | |
| Smoke is always from the firewood, not from the rising flames of fire. | |
| Opinion falls into error and mistake; intellect is only in hitting the mark. | |
| All heaviness and sloth are from the body; the soul, because of its lightness, is entirely in flight. | |
| A red face is from the dominance of blood; a yellow face is from the movement of bile. | |
| A white face is from the strength of phlegm; and a dark face is because of black bile. | |
| In reality, He is the Creator of all effects, but the person of superficial view sees nothing but the secondary cause. | |
| The kernel that is not detached from the husks has no escape from the physician and the secondary cause. | |
| When the son of man is born a second time, he sets his foot upon the head of secondary causes. | |
| The Primary Cause is his religion; the partial cause has no grudge against him. | |
| He flies like the sun in the horizon, with the bride of truth, while form is like a veil. | |
| Nay, he is beyond the horizon and the celestial spheres; he is placeless, like spirits and intelligences. | |
| Nay, our intellects are his shadows; they fall like shadows at his feet. | |
| Whenever the mujtahid is acquainted with the explicit text, in that case he does not contemplate analogy. | |
| When he does not find an explicit text in a case, he derives instruction there from analogy. | |
