Viral Growth Curve

Unlike the growth curve for a bacterial population, the growth curve for a virus population over its replication cycle does not follow a sigmoidal curve. It begins with inoculation, where the virus infects cells, followed by a flat eclipse phase, a burst phase, and a eventual decline.
