The Cosmic Manifestation of Prophetic Conception in the Masnavi
In Book Three of the Masnavi, Rumi illustrates that the conception of a prophet has profound cosmic repercussions. When Moses is conceived, the earthly event is accompanied by a mysterious, terrifying sound that shakes Pharaoh's soul, followed by the appearance of a new star in the heavens. Rumi explicitly states that whenever a prophet enters the womb, his guiding star becomes manifest in the sky ('هر پیمبر که در آید در رحم / نجم او بر چرخ گردد منتجم'). This concept highlights the interconnectedness of the earthly and celestial realms in Sufi thought, where spiritual milestones send literal shockwaves through the macrocosm, signaling the inevitable triumph of divine decree over worldly tyranny.
