Finding the Domain and Range from a Set of Ordered Pairs

To find the domain and range of a relation given as a set of ordered pairs, extract the individual coordinates from the pairs. The domain is the set of all the xx-values, while the range is the set of all the yy-values. For example, given the relation {(1, 1), (2, 4), (3, 9)}, the domain is the set {1, 2, 3} and the range is the set {1, 4, 9}.
