فی فضیلةامیرالمؤمنین علی رضی الله عنه / On the Virtue of the Commander of the Faithful Ali, May Allah Be Pleased with Him

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

خواجهٔ حق پیشوای راستینکوه حلم و باب علم و قطب دین
The master of truth, the true leader,
A mountain of forbearance, the gate of knowledge, and the pole of religion.
ساقی کوثر، امام رهنمایابن عم مصطفا، شیرخدای
The cupbearer of Kauthar, the guiding Imam,
The cousin of Mustafa, the Lion of God.
مرتضای مجتبا، جفت بتولخواجهٔ معصوم، داماد رسول
The chosen Murtaza, the spouse of Batul,
The infallible master, the son-in-law of the Prophet.
در بیان رهنمونی آمدهصاحب اسرار سلونی آمده
He has come for the expression of guidance,
He has come as the possessor of the secrets of 'Ask Me'.
مقتدا بی شک به استحقاق اوستمفتی مطلق علی الاطلاق اوست
Without doubt, leadership belongs to him by right,
He is the absolute jurist in all respects.
چون علی از غیبهای حق یکیستعقل را در بینش او کی شکیست
Since Ali is one of the mysteries of Truth,
How can reason have any doubt in his insight?
هم ز اقضیکم علی جان آگه استهم علی ممسوس فی ذات الله است
The soul is aware of 'The most judgmental of you is Ali',
Also, Ali is immersed in the Essence of God.
از دم عیسی کسی گر زنده خاستاو بدم دست بریده کرد راست
If someone rose to life by the breath of Jesus,
He made a severed hand whole by his breath.
گشته اندر کعبه آن صاحب قبولبت شکن بر پشتی دوش رسول
That accepted one was born in the Kaaba,
An idol-breaker upon the shoulders of the Prophet.
در ضمیرش بود مکنونات غیبزان برآوردی ید بیضا ز جیب
Within his mind were the hidden things of the Unseen,
Therefore, he brought forth the White Hand from his pocket.
گر ید بیضا نبودیش آشکارکی گرفتی ذوالفقار آنجا قرار
Had the White Hand not been manifest to him,
How would Zulfiqar have found rest there?
گاه در جوش آمدی از کار خویشگه فرو گفتی به چه اسرار خویش
Sometimes he would boil over from his own work,
Sometimes he would whisper his secrets to the well.
در همه آفاق هم دم می نیافتدر درون می گشت و محرم می نیافت
In all horizons, he found no companion,
He searched within and found no confidant.
