بخش ۵۰ - فصل دیگر در مدایح سلطان اعزّاللّٰه نصره / Section 50 - Another Chapter in the Praises of the Sultan, May Allah Glorify His Victory

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

چونکه بهرامشاه شه باشدمر ورا زین صفت سپه باشد
Since Bahramshah is the king,
He possesses an army of this quality.
ملکش از ملک جم نیاید کمتر و تازه چو بوستان ارم
His kingdom is no less than the kingdom of Jam,
Fresh and blooming like the Garden of Iram.
مملکت آسمان ملک خورشیدخواجه چون ماه و قاضیان ناهید
The kingdom is the sky, the king is the sun,
The minister is like the moon, and the judges are Venus.
عالم آراسته به دولت و دادگشته معدوم در عدم بیداد
The world is adorned with fortune and justice,
Injustice has become nonexistent in nothingness.
عرصهٔ مملکت چو باغ بهشتمشک اذفر سرشته با گل و خشت
The arena of the kingdom is like the garden of paradise,
Sweet musk is mixed with its mud and bricks.
خاک این مملکت شده کافورچشم بد باد از این حوالی دور
The soil of this kingdom has become camphor,
May the evil eye be far from this vicinity.
اهل غزنین چه کرده بود از دادکه چنین شان کریم شاهی داد
What justice had the people of Ghazna done,
That He gave them such a generous king?
هرچه ز ایزد بخواستید عطادادتان بخ بخ این گزیده دعا
Whatever bounty you asked of God,
He gave you, bravo for this chosen prayer!
به اجابت دعا چو مقرون گشتهرچه زو خواستند افزون گشت
When the prayer was coupled with acceptance,
Whatever they asked of Him was increased.
شاه عادل نکو نیت دستورملک آباد و دست ظالم دور
The just king, the well-intentioned minister,
The kingdom prosperous and the hand of the oppressor far away.
لشکری بر مثال مور و ملخبحر و بر زان ملا و وادی و شخ
An army like ants and locusts,
Sea and land, hills, valleys, and hard grounds are full of them.
صدهزاران سوار جوشن دارکه نماند ز دشمنان دیار
A hundred thousand armored riders,
So that not a single enemy remains in the land.
عدد لشکرش هر آنکه شمردنشمرد او و عمر پایان برد
Whoever counted the number of his army,
He could not count it and brought his life to an end.
روز بارش چو برنشست به تختکار بر دشمنان بگیرد سخت
On the day of his audience, when he sits on the throne,
He makes matters difficult for the enemies.
جوش دیوان گذشته از پروینرونق خواجه تا به علیین
The clamor of the court surpasses the Pleiades,
The glory of the minister reaches to the highest heaven.
خواجگان دگر چو مهر و چو ماهرونق گاه و زینت درگاه
The other ministers are like the sun and the moon,
The splendor of the throne and the ornament of the court.
اهل دیوان همه عدول و قضاةگاه توقیع و عرض و خط و برات
The people of the court are all just and are judges,
At the time of signing, presenting, writing, and assigning.
به مظالم نشسته اهل قبولقاضیان وجیه و جمع عدول
The people of acceptance sit to hear grievances,
Respected judges and a gathering of the just.
تا ملک بر فلک مکان داردتا سماک از سمک نشان دارد
As long as the angel has a place in heaven,
As long as Arcturus has a trace from the Fish,
پادشاه و وزیر و میر و حشمعادل و ناصح و امین حرم
May the king, the minister, the emir, and the retinue,
Be just, advising, and trustees of the sanctuary.
