| جوهر آتش است بعد از هفت | که ازو دل بخست و زهره بکفت |
| The essence is fire, after the seven [heavens], From which the heart is wounded and the gall bladder split. | |
| بعد از آتش فضا و جو هوا | که زوی تا به مرکز است ملا |
| After fire, the space and atmosphere of air, Which from it down to the center is full. | |
| بحر اخضر سوم نتیجهٔ اوست | آن یکی قشر و آن دگر چون پوست |
| The green sea is its third product, One being the husk and the other like skin. | |
| اغبر تیره چارمین ارکان | پس نبات و معادن و حیوان |
| The dark earth is the fourth element; Then come plants, minerals, and animals. | |
| حال اطباع این دوازده برج | هریکی بر مثال گوهر و درج |
| Such is the state of the temperaments of these twelve zodiac signs, Each of them like a jewel in its casket. | |
