بخش ۳۷ - مدح پادشاه به ترتیب کواکب و بروج دوازده‌گانه / Section 37 - Praise of the King in the Order of the Planets and the Twelve Zodiac Signs

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

پای برنه بر آسمان سرمستتیغ بهرامشاهی اندر دست
Step joyfully upon the sky, intoxicated,
With the Bahramshahi sword in hand.
مه چو پیش آیدت سرش بشکنتیر اگر دم زند زبانش بکن
When the moon comes before you, break its head;
If Mercury speaks, tear out its tongue.
زخمه بستان ز پنجهٔ ناهیدتاج بر نه به تارک خورشید
Take the plectrum from the fingers of Venus;
Place the crown on the head of the sun.
تیغ بیرون کن از کف بهرامتندی او به تیغ او کن رام
Draw the sword from the hand of Mars;
Tame his fierceness with his own sword.
تیر بگشای کوری ابلیسهمچو برجاس کن رخ برجیس
Shoot an arrow to blind Iblis;
Make the face of Jupiter like a target.
بر گرای این کبود ایوان راتا نماید نهیب کیوان را
Weigh down this blue palace,
So it may reveal the terror of Saturn.
نحس کیوان به تیغ اعدا کشبستان سعد کنش چون زاوش
Kill the misfortune of Saturn with the enemy-slaying sword;
Take it and make it auspicious like Jupiter.
هم به نیروی بخت خرد بسایسر کیوان سپر به زیر دو پای
With the power of fortune, grind it small;
Trample the head of Saturn beneath your two feet.
چون دوات تو دید بی تلبیسچون قلم سرنگون شود برجیس
When it sees your inkwell without deceit,
Jupiter will be turned upside down like a pen.
باز برجیس را بکن دندانده به تاراج خانهٔ کیوان
Again, extract the teeth of Jupiter;
Give the house of Saturn over to plunder.
نیزه یک دم به سوی بالا کنهفت سیاره را ثریا کن
Point your spear upwards for a moment;
Turn the seven planets into the Pleiades.
زره آسمان ز سر برکشاختران را به طاعت اندر کش
Pull the armor of the sky over its head;
Bring the stars into obedience.
میزبانی کن از درنگ اجلکرگس چرخ را به جدی و حمل
Host, from the delay of death,
The Vulture of the wheel with Capricorn and Aries.
بره و گاو را بدوز به تیرپس درانداز در تنور اثیر
Pierce the Ram and the Bull with an arrow;
Then throw them into the oven of the aether.
از فلک زان سنان کوه افکنپنج پای دو روی را بر کن
From the sky, with that mountain-casting spear,
Uproot the five-footed, two-faced one.
قوت و قوت را شرف نو کنشیر را داغ و خوشه را خو کن
Give new honor to strength and sustenance;
Brand the Lion and tame the Ear of Corn.
چستیی کن بکن به قوت خویشاز ترازو زبان ز گزدم نیش
Act nimbly and pull out with your strength,
The tongue from the Scales and the sting from the Scorpion.
از شگرفی به تیر خوش نالهبر کمان دوز حلق بزغاله
With greatness, with a sweet-sounding arrow,
Pin the throat of the Kid to the Bow.
شست را جای تیر شاهی کنآنگه از دلو دام ماهی کن
Make your thumb the place for the royal arrow;
Then make a net from the Bucket for the Fish.
آنگهی چون به دستت آمد بختبر فلک نه چهار پایهٔ تخت
Then, when fortune comes into your hand,
Place the four legs of the throne upon the sky.
تکیه بر مسند جلالی زنخیمه در ملک لایزالی زن
Lean back on the cushion of glory;
Pitch your tent in the everlasting kingdom.
ملک افلاک را قراری دههریکی را تو اختیاری ده
Give stability to the kingdom of the spheres;
Give each one of them an authority.
دانی این کی شود مسلم توچون شود جبرئیل آدم تو
Do you know when this will be secured for you?
When Gabriel becomes your servant.
ای ز دولت همیشه میمون توکیست اندر همه جهان چون تو
O you who are always blessed by fortune,
Who in all the world is like you?
چون ترا هست بر سپهر و زمینملکی آراسته به دولت و دین
Since you have upon the sky and earth,
A kingdom adorned with state and religion.
هرچه خواهی بکن به دولت توهست با دولت تو حشمت تو
Do whatever you wish with your fortune;
Your majesty is with your fortune.
چون گرفتی تو ملک روی زمینرای کن بر شدن به علیین
When you have taken the kingdom of the face of the earth,
Make plans to ascend to the highest heavens.
برکش از بهر عالم مطلقچرخ رازق را ز سر ارزق
Pull off for the sake of the absolute world,
The blue veil from the head of the providing wheel.
جامهٔ سوکواریش بستانخلعت شادمانیش پوشان
Take its garment of mourning;
Clothe it in the robe of joy.
هردو عالم چو شد مسخر توجمع شد جن و انس بر در تو
When both worlds have been subjugated by you,
Jinn and mankind have gathered at your door.
سوی دین خوان پری و مردم راپست کن دیو و دیو مردم را
Call fairies and men to religion;
Bring low the demons and demon-like men.
خاصه آن را که نفس بد نیتشگوید ایطاست نقش قافیتش
Especially the one whose ill-intentioned self,
Says his rhyme scheme is 'ita'.
نه نداری ز ملک سرمایهنه نداری ز شرع پیرایه
Do you not lack the capital of kingship?
Do you not lack the ornament of religious law?
دین حق در حمایت تو شده ستشرع خوب از کفایت تو شده ست
The true religion is under your protection;
The good religious law exists through your competence.
شحنهٔ شرع مصطفی شده ایزان زنا کردنی جدا شده ای
You have become the police chief of Mustafa's law;
Thus you have separated from committing sin.
جان آن کز فنا نفرسودهاز تو در تربت است آسوده
The soul of the one uncorroded by annihilation,
Is resting peacefully in the tomb because of you.
چون رخ اندر نقاب خاک کشیدز امت خود ترا بدان بگزید
When he drew his face into the veil of dust,
He chose you from his ummah for that purpose.
تا دهی شرع را همی رونقدست باطل جدا کنی از حق
So that you may give luster to the religious law,
And sever the hand of falsehood from the truth.
سایهٔ کردگار زان شده ایشرع را حق گزار زان شده ای
You have become the shadow of the Creator for this reason;
You have become the fulfiller of the law's rights for this reason.
دین و دولت عیال تیغ تواندکفر و الحاد در گریغ تواند
Religion and state are dependents of your sword;
Unbelief and heresy are in flight from you.
شاد باش ای امین بار خداییافته دین ز سیرت تو بهای
Be joyful, O trustee of the Lord God;
Religion has found its value from your conduct.
تا ز پنج و چهار بر نپریاز شش و هفت و هشت برنخوری
Until you fly above the five and four,
You will not reap the fruits of the six, seven, and eight.
تا هوا را به زیر پی ننهیبر سر دل کلاه کی ننهی
Until you place desire beneath your feet,
How can you place the royal crown upon the head of the heart?
چون هوا را به طبع کردی قمعاین همه گرددت به یک دم جمع
When you have subdued desire by nature,
All this will be gathered for you in an instant.
ملک دنیا همی نگویم منخال زنگی به خون نشویم من
I am not speaking of the kingdom of the world;
I am not washing a black mole with blood.
چون به ترک جهان طین گفتیدر تقوی به شرط دین سفتی
When you have spoken of abandoning the world of clay,
You have pierced the pearl of piety on the condition of religion.
گوید آنگاه جان خیرالناسبه زبان سرور و استیناس
Then the soul of the Best of Mankind will say,
In the language of joy and intimacy:
کی ز بیچون همیشه میمون توکیست اندر همه جهان چون تو
O you who are always blessed by the Incomparable One,
Who in all the world is like you?
تا جهان باد شادمان بادیکز تو شد دین حق به آزادی
As long as the world exists, may you be joyful,
For through you the true religion became free.
جز ترا نیست بر سپهر و زمینملکی آراسته به دولت و دین
None but you has upon the sky and earth,
A kingdom adorned with state and religion.
