رخ اینجا مظهر حسن خدایی استمراد از خط جناب کبریایی است
The cheek here is the manifestation of Divine Beauty,
The intent of the down is the Presence of Majesty.
رخش خطی کشید اندر نکوییکه از ما نیست بیرون خوبرویی
His cheek drew a line in beauty,
Saying, 'Fairness is not external to us.'
خط آمد سبزه زار عالم جاناز آن کردند نامش دار حیوان
The down is the verdant meadow of the world of the soul;
For that reason, they named it the Abode of Life.
ز تاریکی زلفش روز شب کنز خطش چشمهٔ حیوان طلب کن
From the darkness of His curl, make day into night;
From His down, seek the Fountain of Life.
خضروار از مقام بی نشانیبخور چون خطش آب زندگانی
Like Khidr, from the station of the signless,
Drink, like His down, the water of life.
اگر روی و خطش بینی تو بی شکبدانی کثرت از وحدت یکایک
If you see His face and His down, without doubt
You will know multiplicity from unity, one by one.
ز زلفش باز دانی کار عالمز خطش باز خوانی سر مبهم
From His curl you will distinguish the affairs of the world;
From His down you will read the obscure secret.
کسی گر خطش از روی نکو دیددل من روی او در خط او دید
If someone saw His down upon the beautiful face,
My heart saw His face within His down.
مگر رخسار او سبع المثانی استکه هر حرفی از او بحر معانی است
Is His cheek perchance the Seven Oft-Repeated verses,
Since every letter of it is an ocean of meanings?
نهفته زیر هر مویی از او بازهزاران بحر علم از عالم راز
Hidden beneath every hair of it, again,
Are thousands of oceans of knowledge from the world of mystery.
ببین بر آب قلبت عرش رحمانز خط عارض زیبای جانان
Behold the Throne of the Merciful upon the water of your heart,
From the line of the beautiful cheek of the Beloved.
