المقالة الثالثة / The Third Discourse
متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation
| پسر گفتش که زن زانست مقصود | که فرزندی شود شایسته موجود |
| The son told him that a wife is for this purpose That a worthy child may come into existence | |
| که چون کس راست فرزند یگانه | بماند ذکر خیرش جاودانه |
| For when someone has an only child His good name will remain eternally | |
| اگر فرزند من آگاه باشد | مرا فردا شفاعت خواه باشد |
| If my child becomes aware He will be my intercessor tomorrow | |
| چو فرزند خلف آید پدیدار | بصد جانش توان گشتن خریدار |
| When a virtuous child appears One can be a buyer for him with a hundred souls | |
| همه کس را چنین فرزند باید | به فرزندم چنین پیوند شاید |
| Everyone needs such a child Such a connection is fitting for my child | |
